Who we are

Redigi Pty Ltd, ABN 46 683 525 859, trading as Hey Rova. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Redigi Pty Ltd, and "you" means the person reading them.

We are a marketing and technology company in Melbourne. We build the chat and marketing machinery that real estate agencies across Australia run on, and Hey Rova is our own product and our own public front.

What these terms cover

These terms apply when you use heyrova.com and when you talk to the Hey Rova chat, wherever you meet it. By using either, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or the chat.

They are written for members of the public. If you are a real estate agency that engages us, section 8 tells you which document governs you instead.

What Hey Rova does

Hey Rova answers questions about property. You can ask it about a suburb, a listing, what your home might be worth, or how selling works, and it will answer, send you things worth reading, and stay in touch for as long as you find it useful.

The chat runs on this website and in private messages on Facebook and Instagram. What we do there is limited and specific: we reply privately to comments on posts and advertisements, we answer direct messages on a business's Facebook Page and Instagram account, we send listing details, photos, floorplans and inspection times inside the conversation, we capture an enquiry when you make one, and a person can take over at any point.

The service is free to you. We are paid by the agencies we work with, not by the public.

You are talking to software

rova is our digital assistant on Hey Rova, and rova is software rather than a person. We say so plainly because pretending otherwise would be dishonest. Artificial intelligence reads what you write and drafts the replies.

You can ask for a person at any time, and one will pick up the conversation. A person can also step in without you asking.

Software gets things wrong. If an answer matters to a decision you are about to make, check it with a person before you rely on it.

What we ask of you

Use the site and the chat lawfully and reasonably. In particular, please do not:

• send anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory or deliberately misleading;
• impersonate somebody else, or pretend to be acting for a person or a business when you are not;
• send us somebody else's personal information without their knowledge;
• send us sensitive information, as our privacy policy explains, because we do not want it and do not ask for it;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the site or the chat, or get into any part of it that is not open to you;
• use the chat to send advertising or spam.

If you are under 18, please do not use the chat. It is built for people buying and selling homes, and it is not meant for children.

Property information is not advice

Anything we tell you about a property, a suburb, a price or a market is general information only. It is not a valuation, not financial advice, not legal advice, and not a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

Where we give price guidance, it is produced by automated analysis of market data. It is an estimate, it can be wrong, and it is no substitute for a proper appraisal by a licensed agent or a valuation by a qualified valuer.

Listing details, including photographs, floorplans, inspection times and prices, come from the agency and can change or be withdrawn without notice. Always confirm them with the agent before acting.

Being introduced to an agent

We do not pass your details to a real estate agent unless you ask us to introduce you. Until you ask, we help you ourselves.

When you do ask, we introduce you to an agent in your area, and only then do your details reach an agency. If we do not work with an agency near you, we will say so rather than pass you to someone unsuitable.

Once we have introduced you, the agent is a separate business and you deal with them directly. We are not their agent, we do not act for them in your dealings with them, and we are not responsible for what they do or fail to do.

If you are an agency, not a member of the public

These terms do not govern our relationship with a real estate agency that engages us. That relationship runs on the Redigi Services Agreement and the Statement of Works accepted with it, which set out the services, the fees, intellectual property, confidentiality and everything else between us.

If both could apply, the Services Agreement wins for anything it covers.

If you run a Page or an Instagram account that our software operates on, you remain responsible for the content published from it, for the relationships you have with the people who contact you, and for meeting Meta's own platform and messaging policies. We provide the machinery; the business speaks with its own voice.

Meta is not part of this

Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp are operated by Meta Platforms. Meta is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for Hey Rova, and does not sponsor or endorse us.

When you use the chat through one of those services you are also bound by Meta's own terms, and Meta decides what its platforms allow, including how long after your message a business is permitted to reply. Those windows are theirs, not ours.

Our brand and our content

The Hey Rova and Redigi names, logos, wording, design and software are ours or our licensors', and are protected by intellectual property law. You may read, print and share what is on this site for your own personal use.

Please do not copy our content for a commercial purpose, or use our names or logos in a way that suggests we endorse you or are connected to you, without asking us first.

What you write to us stays yours. By sending it, you allow us to use it to answer you, to run and improve the service, and to do the things described in our privacy policy.

Links to other places

We sometimes link to websites we do not run, including property portals and agencies' own sites. Once you follow a link you are on their territory. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

Your privacy

How we handle your information is set out in full in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. It covers what we collect, the chat, advertising and Advanced Matching, who we share information with, where it goes, and how long we keep it.

You can ask us to delete what we hold at any time. Our data deletion page tells you exactly how.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, and we do not try to exclude them. Among other things, services must be supplied with due care and skill.

Where the law permits us to limit our liability for failing one of those guarantees, we limit it to supplying the service again, or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

If anything else in these terms conflicts with a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, that right wins and the conflicting part does not apply.

When something goes wrong

We try to keep the site and the chat available and accurate, but we cannot promise they will always work, always be available, or always be right. Software fails, platforms change, and information about property goes out of date.

Subject entirely to section 13, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss you suffer from relying on information given through the site or the chat, from the site or chat being unavailable, or from anything a real estate agency does after we introduce you.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Stopping the conversation

You can stop at any time. Tell us to stop, unsubscribe from any message, or block or mute the conversation from inside Facebook or Instagram. You can also cut our software off from a business's page through Settings, then Apps and Websites, on either platform.

We may stop or restrict your access if you use the site or the chat in a way that breaches section 5, is unlawful, or puts other people or our systems at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes or the law does. The current version always sits at this address with the date it took effect, and using the site or the chat after a change means you accept the updated terms.

If a change materially affects you, we will do more than quietly update the page.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts able to hear appeals from them.

If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.
